Building a Stronger Community - One Family at a Time!
19th Annual Valentine’s Breakfast |
|
The 19th Annual Auburn Youth Resources-Enumclaw Youth & Family Services’ Valentine Breakfast was held on Friday February 12th at the Grace Community Church in Auburn. The theme of this year’s breakfast was, The Heart of the Community. The annual fundraiser helps to sustain our agencies services and makes sure that no child or family will be turned away from services due to a lack of money to pay for them. A capacity crowd of over 650 AYR-EYFS supporters were treated to a delicious breakfast provided by the students of the Mountainview High School Culinary Arts Program. Roberta Locke and the students did a magnificent job this year. This year’s program featured a musical arrangement by the Auburn Mountainview High School A Cappella Choir, a review of EYFS 30 years of service to Enumclaw and the Plateau, a presentation on Parent Child Interaction Training, and a former client discussing how her services at AYR changed her life. So far, the event has raised close to $70,000 for AYR-EYFS programs and services. Our thanks to all of our wonderful supports that woke up very early to celebrate the work that AYR and EYFS provide for the children and families of South King County. |
